Startups: Mexico Fintech Stori Raises $212 Million in Equity, Debt (Bloomberg $) - Co-founded by Marlene Garayzar, Stori offers underserved Latin American consumers digital financial products and services. The Mexico City startup secured $105 million in equity co-led by Notable Capital and BAI, joined by ACE Redpoint Ventures, GIC, General Catalyst, Goodwater, Lightspeed Ventures, and Tresalia. Goldman Sachs and Davidson Kempner Capital Management provided $107 million in debt funding.
Industrial analytics startup Seeq lands $50M to continue its growth - Led by Lisa Graham, Seeq provides industrial analytics and monitoring. The Seattle-based company raised $50 million in Series D funding. Sixth Street Growth led the round, joined by Insight Partners, Altira Group, Second Avenue Partners, and Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures.
Irish medtech CroíValve raises $16m for heart valve device - Co-founded and led by Lucy O’Keeffe, CroiValve is an early-stage medical device company developing a transcatheter device to repair the tricuspid valve. The Dublin-based company secured $16 million in Series B funding. MedTech & Irrus Syndicates led the round, with additional support from Ascentifi, Furthr, Broadview Ventures, Atlantic Bridge University Fund, Enterprise Ireland, Elkstone, SOSV, and IAG Capital Partners.
EIC commits €12.5M for Lightsolver's energy-efficient supercomputer - Co-founded and led by Ruti Ben-Shlomi, Ph.D, LightSolver is developing the first all-optical supercomputer. The Israeli company will receive an initial grant of €2.5 million from the EIC Fund and a future equity investment of €10 million, totaling €12.5 million.
Rich Data Co to Accelerate Expansion of AI Decisioning Platform - Co-founded and led by Ada Guan, Rich Data helps banks make lending decisions efficiently and safely. The Australian startup raised a $5.9 million Series B extension led by Acorn Capital.
Perceptive Space emerges from stealth with plans to improve space weather predictions - Founded and led by Padmashri Suresh, Perceptive Space aims to improve the accuracy of space weather forecasting. The Canadian startup came out of stealth with $2.8 million in funding from Panache Ventures, Metaplanet, 7Percent Ventures, Mythos Ventures, and AIN Ventures.
OW secures £2.2M for digital scent production - Co-founded and led by Emanuela Maggioni, OW Smell Made Digital is developing one of the world’s first digital platforms for creating and delivering scents. The Cambridge, UK-based startup raised £2.2 million in Pre-Series A and grant funding. Parkwalk led the round, while Innovate UK provided the grant funding.
Ex-Clubhouse employees take another swing at a social networking startup - Co-founded by Maya Watson and Lexi Nisita, why?! is a new social app that seeks to help people connect. The US startup raised $1.65 million in a Pre-Seed round led by Precursor Ventures. Barclays Black Formation Investments (managed by Zeal Capital Partners) and angel investors also participated in the round.
Climatize: Impact Investing Company Raises $1.75 Million In Pre-Seed Funding - Co-founded by Alba Forns, Climatize is an investment platform that enables individuals to invest in renewable energy projects. The US-based startup raised a $1.75 million Pre-Seed round. Myriad Venture Partners led the round, with contributions from Climate Capital, Techstars, Responsibly Ventures, and Temerity Capital.
Afynia Laboratories Secures $1.5M to Advance Endometriosis Diagnosis with EndomiR - Co-founded by Lauren Foster and Jocelyn Wessels, Afynia Laboratories aims to improve the diagnostic process for endometriosis. The Canada-based company raised $1.5 million from Capital Angel Network (CAN), SOSV, Gaingels, Aventura, and McMaster University’s Seed Fund.
VC: Co-founded by Pam Vagata and Tammie Siew, Pebbelbed, a San Francisco-based VC firm, is raising up to $125 million for its second fund. (via Axios Pro)
