FoodHealth Company corrals $7.5M Series A to support pivot (Axios Pro $) - Founded and led by Samantha (Citro) Alexander, FoodHealth is a nutrition intelligence platform. The San Francisco-based startup raised $7.5 million in Series A funding co-led by Reach Capital and Ulu Ventures.
Mark Cuban Doubles Down, Kind Designs Closes Seed 1 Round Led by Overlay Capital at $30M Valuation - Founded and led by Anya Freeman, Kind Designs uses 3D printing to manufacture sustainable seawalls that mimic coral reef structures and support marine biodiversity. The Miami Beach startup closed a $5 million round led by Overlay Capital, with Mark Cuban also contributing.
Swedish retail giant H&M Group takes minority stake in fashion focused e-commerce platform Centra - Co-founded by Jenna Holcombe, Centra is an e-commerce platform for fashion brands. The Stockholm-based startup raised €4.6 million in a funding round led by H&M Group.
Ex-MoFo Atty's Startup Raises $3.5M To Refine Due Diligence (Law 360 $) - Co-founded by Emily Mu, Marveri is an artificial intelligence-based platform for conducting corporate due diligence. The US-based startup raised $3.2 million in funding from Alven, Day One Ventures, Lightscape Partners, angel investors, and others.
Co-founded by Esther Riambau, MBA and Isabel Puig, PhD, Oniria Therapeutics is developing first-in-class drugs in the field of precision oncology. The Barcelona-based biotech company secured €2 million in a funding round co-led by Ministerio de Ciencia and Innovación y Universidades de España. Read more.
Pulse Charter Connect Secures $2M to Build “Expedia for Organ Transplants” - Founded and led by Laura Epstein, Pulse Charter Connect coordinates air and ground logistics for time-sensitive organ transplants. The Chicago, US-based startup raised $2 million in Seed funding co-led by Ivy Ventures and Simplex Ventures, with additional support from Cedars Sinai Health Ventures, Belal Badat Ventures, Techstars, and The Josephine Collective.
Medtech Startup UVISA Secures $600K and Approval for Vaginal Infection Light Therapy Clinical Trial - Co-founded and led by Ella Harris and Sonal Pendharkar Kulkarni, UVISA provides a light-based treatment for vaginal infections, specifically vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) and bacterial vaginosis (BV). The Danish medical device startup secured 4.2 million DKK (approximately $600,000) in angel funding. The company also received approval to begin its first clinical trial.
Serena-backed health tech lands first FDA approval for home cervical cancer test - Co-founded and led by Kara Egan, Teal Health received FDA approval for Teal Wand, its prescription device that lets people screen for cervical cancer from home.
