Italy’s WSENSE gets €7.2M to power underwater wireless communication technology - Founded and led by Chiara Petrioli, Wsense builds monitoring and communicating technologies for underwater IoT. The Rome, Italy-based startup secured €7.2 million in Pre-Series B funding from Fincantieri, CDP Venture Capital, Blue Ocean, RunwayFBU, Axon Partners Group, and Rypples.
General Catalyst leads £4.4m seed round into AI agents startup Portia AI - Co-founded by Emma Burrows, Portia AI offers business customers a library of tools for building and deploying their own AI agents in-house. The London-based company raised £4.4 million in Seed funding led by General Catalyst, with additional support from Firstminute Capital and Stem AI.
Spur Raises $4.5M from First Round, Pear VC, Neo, Conviction and Others to Build Out its Quality Analysis AI Agent - Co-founded by Sneha Sivakumar and Anushka Nijhawan, Spur enables commerce retailers and travel booking platforms with AI-powered quality testing that emulates real consumer shopping behavior. The New York City-based startup raised $4.5 million in funding from First Round, Pear VC, Neo, Conviction, Liquid2Ventures, and Predictive Venture Partners.

beSirius raises €3M to turn sustainability reporting into actionable data - Co-founded and led by Anastasia Kuskova, Besirius provides an AI-powered sustainability intelligence platform for heavy industries. The Amsterdam-based startup closed €3 million in Seed funding led by Nap and joined by Fund F, Techstars, Blackwood, Wepa Ventures, and Golden Egg Check.
Women’s Health Supplement Brand Moom Health Raises S$3.5M in Pre-Series A Funding - Co-founded by Maya Kale, Moom Health is a women’s health supplement brand. The Singapore-based startup secured S$3.5 million (approximately US$2.6 million) in a Pre-series A funding round led by Wipro Consumer Care Ventures, with participation from consumer brand venture capital DSG Consumer Partners, Racer Ventures, and others.
Dutch-based QurieGen raises €2.2M to build ‘Google Maps for cells’ and transform cancer drug discovery - Co-founded and led by Kinga Matuła, QurieGen develops advanced AI-based technology aimed at accelerating drug development progress in oncology. The Paris-based startup raised €1.2 million in Pre-Seed funding led by Insurtech Gateway and joined by U-Investors and Tenity.
Estonia’s Esgrid raises fresh funding to expand from ESG risk to full supplier management - Co-founded by Oksana Tolmatšova and Katrin Isotamm, Esgrid is an ESG risk management platform. The Tallinn-based startup raised €900k in Pre-Seed funding led by 2C Ventures and supported by Startup Wise Guys, Greenco Ventures, and Lemonade Stand.
VC: Co-founded and led by Kate McAndrew, Baukunst, a San Francisco-based VC firm, is raising $100 million for its second fund, per an SEC filing (via Axios Pro).
Sharla Grass (previously with Greycroft) joined Serena Ventures as a New York-based partner.
