The New York startup raised $26 million in Series A funding led by Insight Partners and joined by insiders Afore Capital, Crossbeam Venture Partners, and Metrodora Ventures.
Gorgie, energy drink brand launched by Lively founder, raises $24.5 million Series A - Founded and led by Michelle Cordeiro Grant, Gorgie provides an energy drink built on green tea caffeine, vitamins B6 and B12, and no sugar. The US startup raised a $24.5 million Series A led by Notable Capital, with Coefficient Capital also joining.
Turning PET and polyester waste into raw materials: Swiss DePoly lands $23M to launch industrial-scale plant - Co-founded and led by Samantha Anderson, DePoly recycles PET and polyester waste into raw materials without the use of fossil fuels. The Zurich-based startup raised $23 million in Seed funding led by MassMutual Ventures and joined by Founderful, ACE & Company, Angel Invest, and others.
Near Space Labs nabs $20M to take its high-res imaging Swift robots into the stratosphere - Co-founded and led by Rema Matevosyan, Near Space Labs is an aerial imagery and earth observation company providing high-frequency, high-resolution imagery that supports businesses, partners, and government organizations for improved remote sensing. The startup raised $20 million in Series B funding led by Bold Capital Partners, with participation from USAA (the U.S. Automobile Association) Climate Capital, Gaingels, River Park Ventures, Crosslink Capital, Third Sphere, Draper Associates, and others.
Hoofprint Biome boosts cow nutrition while slashing methane burps - Co-founded and led by Kathryn Polkoff, Hoofprint Biome developed a feed additive that tweaks the microbiome in a cow’s rumen and suppresses the growth of microbes that generate methane. The US startup closed a $15 million Series A round led by SOSV. AgriZeroNZ, Alexandria Venture Investments, Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, Breakthrough Energy Fellows, Good Growth Capital, Ponderosa Ventures, and Twynam also participated.
Fast tutoring via the smartphone app (FAZ $, in German) - Co-founded and led by Jana Krotsch, ubiMaster is a digital learning and tutoring platform that connects students with certified tutors. The Munich, Germany-based startup secured $7 million from Owl Ventures, Bayern Kapital, amberra, Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund, Zanichelli Venture, MPA Capital, and angels.
Particula scoops $5.5M to bring trust to tokenised finance with AI-powered risk ratings - Co-founded by Nadine Wilke, Particula is an AI-driven risk intelligence platform for digital assets. The Munich, Germany-based startup raised $5.5 million in funding co-led by SixThirty Ventures, Vanagon Ventures, and Futury Capital, with support from TX Ventures, Blackwood Ventures, Tenity, angel investors, and others.
Zest Equity secures $4.3 million pre-Series A led by Prosus Ventures - Co-founded by Rawan Baddour, Zest Equity is a digital infrastructure solutions platform for private market transactions. The UAE-based fintech raised $4.3 million in Pre-Series A funding led by Prosus Ventures, with participation from Morgan Stanley Inclusive and Sustainable Ventures (MSISV).
Faye Raises $2.5 Million to Redefine Household Support with AI-Augmented Human Advisors - Co-founded by Emily King, Faye is a tech platform helping families offload the mental load of home life. The US startup raised $2.5 million in Pre-Seed funding led by Unusual Ventures.
VC: Canva-Backer FPV Ventures Raises New $525 Million Fund (Bloomberg $) - Co-founded and co-led by Pegah Ebrahimi, FPV Ventures, a US-based early-stage venture capital firm that backs and serves mission-driven founders, raised $525 million for its second fund.
Sarah Tavel, Benchmark’s first woman GP, transitions to venture partner - Sarah Tavel announced her transition to a more limited role at the US venture firm Benchmark. She will continue to make investments and serve on existing company boards while allocating her time and focus on “going AI-native” by exploring AI tools and connecting with founders “building at the edge of AI.”
Judith Dada, GP at Visionaries Club and Veronika Wax, Founder and CEO of Demodesk, launched The Open Source Nanny to share anonymized stories and resources from ambitious working parents in the tech ecosystem about their childcare models, costs, challenges, and advice on what works for them.
