The US company officially launched recently. It also announced an oversubscribed Pre-Seed round of at least $1 million led by Emmeline Ventures in April 2024. a16z TxO, the BFM Fund, and First Row Partners also participated in the round.

The US company secured $38 million in Series B funding from Foundry, Pacific Alliance Venture, GS Futures, Draper Nexus, Ray Stata, Joi Ito, Carrier, and Qualcomm.
This startup uses AI to automatically trim videos—even where there’s no dialogue - Co-founded by Grace Wang, OpusClip is an AI video clip editing tool. The California-based startup raised $30 million in a round led by Millennium New Horizons, joined by Samsung Next, GTMfund, DCM Ventures, and Jason Lemkin.
Tilt: Leave Management Solutions Company Secures $15 Million (Series B) - Founded and led by Jennifer Henderson, Tilt is a leave management platform. The US startup raised a $15 million Series B round led by Bramalea Partners, with additional support from HearstLab, Firework Ventures, Origin Ventures, and Techstars.
Solace scores $14M to expand healthcare navigation platform - Co-founded by Sara Sargent, Solace is a digital health platform that partners with payers to support their members and employees across the entire spectrum of the healthcare journey. The US startup raised $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Inspired Capital. Anne Wojcicki, Susan Wojcicki, RiverPark Ventures, Craft Ventures, and Torch Capital, also joined.
Solana restaking protocol Solayer reaches $80 million valuation with $12 million seed round - Co-founded by Rachel Chu, Solayer is a Solana restaking protocol. The San Francisco startup raised $12 million in a Seed funding round led by Polychain Capital. Big Brain Holdings, Hack VC, Nomad Capital, Race Capital, ABCDE, and Maelstrom.
Gameplay Galaxy raises $24M to build Web3 competitive ecosystem - Co-founded by Maya Gurevich, Gameplay Galaxy is a web3 gaming company. The San Franscisco-based startup raised an $11.2 million Seed extension round co-led by Blockchain Capital and Merit Circle.
Wave-Powered Freshwater Project In The Canary Islands Gets EU Grant - Co-founded and led by Kristine Bangstad Fredriksen, Ocean Oasis aims to reduce water scarcity by developing a new and sustainable way to produce fresh water, utilizing ocean energy. The Oslo-based company received a €6 million grant from the European Innovation Council.
Cardboard raises €1.9M for SaaS subscription management - Co-founded by Vidhi Kumar, Cardboard is a SaaS management platform that helps companies maximize the value of their software investments. The Oslo, Norway-based startup announced a €1.9 million Seed round led by Skyfall Ventures, with participation from RunwayFBU and Sondo.
Neurodivergent-focused app Tiimo secures $1.6M - Founded by Helene Lassen Nørlem and Melissa Würtz Azari, Tiimo is a planning and learning app designed by and for neurodivergent individuals. The Copenhagen-based startup raised a $1.6 million funding round, bringing their total raised to $4.8 million Pre-Series A. Crowberry Capital and People Ventures led the round with additional support from Inner Foundations.
BoobyBiome Secures £1.6M Grant to Advance Breast Milk-Derived Synbiotic Research - Co-founded by Dr. Lydia Mapstone, Dr. Sioned Fôn Jones, and Tara O’Driscoll, PhD, BoobyBiome is developing breast milk-derived bacterial products for babies without access to breast milk. The UK biotech secured a £1.6 million Biomedical Catalyst grant from Innovate UK.
Mestag awarded £1.5m grant to revolutionise cancer treatment - Led by Susan Hill, Mestag Therapeutics develops new treatments for cancer and inflammatory diseases. The Cambridge, UK-based startup received a £1.5 million grant from Innovate UK.
Tennis Legend Maria Sharapova Joins Cofertility as Investor to Expand Access to Egg Freezing and Donation - Co-founded by Lauren Makler (former Founder of Uber Health), Arielle Spiegel, and Halle Tecco, (Founder of Natalist and Rock Health), Cofertility aims to make egg freezing more accessible and affordable by linking it with egg donation. Former tennis player Maria Sharapova recently joined the startup as an investor. The company announced $5 million in Seed funding from Initialized Capital, Offline Ventures, and angel investors in 2022.
VC: 2 longtime partners at Pritzker venture fund leave to launch their own (Crain’s Chicago Business $) - Sonia Nagar - a longtime partner at Pritzker Group Venture Capital, launched SNAK Venture Partners. The US firm’s $50 million debut fund will focus on digital marketplaces.
Araya closes Super Angel Fund at $10.9M - Founded and led by Rupa Ganatra Popat, Arāya Ventures held a $10.6 million first close on a new Pre-seed and Seed fund. The London community-powered fund will invest in up to 60 founders in health tech, fintech, climate, commerce, and work.
