Startups: UK fintech Abound secures up to £800M to expand access to fair credit - Co-founded by Michelle He, Abound is a consumer credit technology company. The London-based fintech announced a new round of debt and equity that could extend to £800 million. The funding includes a multi-year asset-backed debt financing arrangement (backed by loan originations) from Citi. GSR Ventures led the Series B equity round.
Bluejay Therapeutics Raises $182M in Series C Financing - Founded and led by CEO Dr. Keting Chu, Bluejay Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for viral and liver diseases. The San Mateo, California-based startup raised $182 million in Series C funding. Frazier Life Sciences led the round, joined by RA Capital Management, T. Rowe Price, Wellington Management, Novo Holdings, RiverVest Venture Partners, Octagon Capital, Arkin Bio Ventures, HBM Healthcare Investments, and Unicorn Capital.
Atlan’s $105M raise underscores need for AI data oversight - Co-founded by Prukalpa Sankar, Atlan is a data oversight and management specialist. The San Francisco-based company raised a $105 million Series C round led by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and joined by Meritech Capital.
Anetac Emerges From Stealth Mode With $16 Million in Funding - Co-founded by Diana Nicholas, Anetac provides an identity and security platform that protects threat surface exploited via service accounts. The Los Altos, California-based startup raised $16 million in funding. Liberty Global led the round and was joined by Shield Capital, GP Ventures, and others.
Dendra systems secures $15M Series B for reseeding at scale - Co-founded and led by Dr Susan Graham, Dendra Systems is a biodiversity-focused climate tech that uses AI and drones to restore and rehabilitate land by reseeding. The Oxford-based startup secured $15.76 million in Series B funding. Zouk Capital led the round and was joined by investors including Aramco Ventures, Airbus Ventures, Helium-3 Ventures, and Understory Capital Management.
Backpack Healthcare bags $14M for children’s mental health (Axios Pro $) - Founded and led by Hafeezah Muhammad, Backpack Healthcare is an online pediatric mental health care provider. The US startup raised $14 million in Series A funding. PACE Healthcare Capital led the round, joined by Techstars, Collab Capital, Bridge Builders Collaborative, Portland Seed Fund, Hopelab, Rethink Education, Genius Guild, ECMC, Unlikely Collaborators, and angel investors.
Remepy raises $10 million Seed round to bring first hybrid drug to market - Co-founded and co-led by Michal Tsur, Remepy creates “hybrid drugs” that combine traditional drugs with its “digital molecules.” The Tel Aviv-based startup raised a $10 million Seed round led by NFX, with Vine Ventures, PsyMed Ventures, Supernode Ventures, Firstime Ventures, TechAviv, fresh.fund, and 97212 Ventures also participating.
Israeli startup Panax raises a $10M Series A for its AI-driven cash flow management platform - Co-founded and led by Noam Mills, Panax provides tools for cash flow visibility, risk management, and liquidity optimization. The Israel and New York City-based startup raised a $10 million Series A round led by Team8, with participation from TLV Partners.
Founders Fund leads financing of composites startup Layup Parts - Co-founded by Elisa Suarez, Layup Parts aims to transform composites manufacturing. The US-based startup raised a $9 million round led by Founders Fund, with participation from Lux Capital and Haystack.
Humanaut Health Secures $8.7M Seed Round to Bring Longevity Healthcare to Local Cities Across America - Co-founded by Chief Medical Officer Amy B Killen MD, Humanaut Health is a health and wellness clinic network that offers services including diagnostics, lifestyle modification guidance, hormone therapies, and regenerative cell treatments. The Austin-based startup raised an $8.7 million Seed round led by The Kabech Fund, with Midnight Venture Partners also joining.
Testmate Health Secures $6M in Seed Funding for Game-changing At-home Rapid STI Test - Co-founded and led by Siew-Veena Sahi, Testmate Health provides at-home sexual health diagnostics tests. The Lausanne, Switzerland-based startup raised $6 million in Seed funding. RH Capital led the round, with participation from The Helm, Amboy Street Ventures, Liechtsteiner Foundation, Zürcher Kantonal Bank, and Dartlabs.io.
Retell AI lets companies build ‘voice agents’ to answer phone calls - Co-founded by Evie Wang, Retell AI enables companies to create AI-powered “voice agents” that answer customer phone calls and perform basic tasks such as scheduling appointments. It raised $4.53 million from investors including Y Combinator.
Mycocycle uses mushrooms to upcycle old tires and construction waste - Founded and led by Joanne Rodriguez, Mycocycle uses fungi to create plastic-like polymers. The company raised a $3.6 million Seed extension led by Loop Partners, with additional support from Illinois Invent Fund, the Telus Pollinator Fund for Good, and U.S. Venture.
umgrauemeio raises round of US$ 3,6 million - Co-founded by Maira Domene, Umgrauemeio uses AI and remote cameras to detect and manage forest fires. The Brazilian startup raised a $3.6 million round from Baraúna Investimentos, Indicator Capital, Yield Lab Latam, and Rural Ventures.
Allegria Therapeutics Raises USD3.5M in Seed Funding - Co-founded and led by Maria van Dongen, PhD, Allegria Therapeutics is developing treatments for allergy and mast cell-mediated inflammatory diseases. The Basel, Switzerland-based startup raised $3.5 million in Seed funding from Forty51 Ventures.
Gen Z social network Superfy raises $2.2M - Co-founded and led by Michal Tamir, Superfy is a Gen Z social networking platform. The London-based startup raised $2.2 million.
Axmed raises $2M from Founderful to streamline drug supply chains in underserved markets - Co-founded by Sofia Radley-Searle, Axmed provides a B2B marketplace that addresses drug supply chain fragmentation in low and middle-income countries. The Basel, Switzerland-based startup raised $2 million in Seed funding from Founderful Ventures.
Dandi drums up $1.3M to guide fertility journey (Axios Pro $) - Co-founded by Chief Clinical Officer, Leyla Bilali, BSN, RN, Dandi Fertility is a virtual care platform that connects patients with registered fertility nurses. The New York startup raised $1.3 million in Pre-Seed funding. Tiferes Ventures led the round, joined by Ruttenberg Gordon Investments, Winklevoss Capital, and the WeWork Alumni Fund.
Women’s Health: Teal Health Receives FDA Breakthrough Designation for At-Home Cervical Cancer Screening Device - Co-founded and led by Kara Egan, US-based Teal Health received a ‘Breakthrough Device’ designation by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its at-home self-collect cervical cancer screening device, the Teal Wand.
