The London-based biotech raised $58 million in a Series A funding round led Ahren, OMX Ventures, and Paladin Capital Group. Fine Structure Ventures, +ND Capital, and Jonathan Milner also joined.
Human protein startup Helaina raises $45M Series B (Axios Pro $) - Founded and led by Laura Katz, Helaina produces human-equivalent bioactive proteins. The New York-based startup raised $45 million in Series B funding. Avidity Partners led, joined by Spark Capital, Ingeborg Investments, Barrel Ventures, Siam Capital, Relish Works, CF Private Equity, and Primary Venture Partners.
Dandelion Energy Closes $40M Series C Funding Round to Expand Geothermal Offerings Nationwide - Co-founded by Kathy Hannun, Dandelion Energy provides geothermal heating and cooling systems for homes. The US startup secured a $40 million Series C round led by GV, with additional support from Collaborative Fund, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, NGP, and LenX.
Vsim, founded by Nvidia alums, raises $24M for robotics simulation tech - Co-founded by Michelle Lu, Vsim is developing a new physics simulation framework. The British startup raised $24 million from EQT Ventures, with contributions from Factorial Fund, Samsung Next, Tru Arrow, Xora, IQ Capital, Koro Capital, Concept Ventures, and Lakestar Scout Fund.
Arcade Announces First-Ever AI Product Creation Platform - Co-founded and led by Mariam Naficy, Arcade is a generative AI marketplace that allows consumers to define and share their design identity by creating their own AI-generated products across various categories. The San Francisco startup raised $17 million from Reid Hoffman, Offline Ventures, Sound Ventures, and Heretic Ventures.
Luminate’s hair-saving chemo helmet nears release, as new funding goes toward home cancer care - Co-founded by Barbara Oliveira, Luminate is developing a wearable device for hair retention during chemotherapy treatment. It raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Artis Ventures, with participation from Metaplanet, Lachy Groom, 8VC, SciFounders, and Faber.
A startup from ex-Revolut employees uses AI to automate accounting — but hopes to keep accountants in jobs - Co-founded and led by Anita Koimur, LiveFlow is a finance and accounting automation platform. The New York City-based startup raised $13.5 million in Series A funding from Valar Ventures.
Tamnoon Raises $12 Million for Cloud Security Remediation Service - Co-founded by Marina Segal, Tamnoon is a cloud security remediation startup. It raised $12 million in a Series A round led by Bright Pixel Capital. Blu Ventures, Mindset Ventures, Merlin Ventures, Secret Chord Ventures, Inner Loop Capital, and Elron Ventures also joined.
Oxford spin-out FluoRok raises £7.7M for sustainable production of fluorochemical - Co-founded by Véronique Gouverneur, FluoRok is a fluorochemical manufacturing and licensing company. The Oxford, UK-based startup raised £7.7 million ($10.3 million) in funding. BGF led the round, joined by Green Generation Fund, Volta Energy Technologies, Excellis Holding, Oxford Science Enterprises, University of Oxford, and angel investors.
She sat down during the COVID lockdown and started coding — now she’s taking on Bolt - Co-founded and led by Rania Lamprou, Simpler provides a one-click checkout solution for merchants. The London-based startup raised €9 million in funding from investors including VentureFriends, MMC Ventures, Lamda Development, and VGC.
Retirement tech startup Icon raises $9.2M - Co-founded and led by Laurie Rowley, Icon provides employee retirement plan solutions. The US startup closed $9.2 million in Seed funding led by TTV Capital.
AI startup Scribenote raises $8.2 mln in Andreessen Horowitz-led funding round - Co-founded by Alina Pavel, Dr. Katie Gallagher, and Emily Merry, Scribenote uses AI to generate medical records for veterinarians. The Canada-based startup secured $8.2 million in Seed funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round, joined by Inovia Capital, Velocity Fund, and angel investors.
Silas Capital, Unilever Ventures Invest in Skincare Brand Oak Essentials - Founded by US clothing designer Jenni Kayne and led by Julia (Wilson) Hunter, Oak Essentials is a premium beauty brand. The Los Angeles, California-based company raised $8 million in Series A funding. Silas Capital led the round, joined by Unilever Ventures.
Ayrton Energy mimics margarine to store hydrogen safely - Co-founded and led by Natasha Kostenuk, Ayrton Energy is a liquid organic hydrogen carrier technology developer. The Calgary, Canada-based company raised $6.8 million in Seed funding. Clean Energy Ventures led the round, with participation from BDC Capital, Antares Ventures, EPS Ventures, SOSV, the51, and UCeed Investment Funds.
ÄIO raises €6.1M to develop sustainable oils from wood and agricultural residue - Co-founded by Nemailla Bonturi, ÄIO produces environmentally friendly oils and fats from wood and agricultural residues. The Tallinn-based company raised €6.1 million in funding from Voima Ventures, 2C Ventures, SmartCap, and Nordic Foodtech VC.
“Energy renovation school” La Solive raises €4M to facilitate career transitions - Co-founded by Ariane Komorn, La Solive provides career training for “energy renovation” professionals. The France-based startup raised €4 million in Series A funding led by Partech, alongside Brighteye Ventures.
Dimer Health raises $2.95M to cut down hospital readmissions - Co-founded and led by Caroline Hodge MS, PA-C, MBA, Dimer Health provides hospital discharge and aftercare software. The US startup raised $2.95 million in Seed funding led by Tech Aviv.
E-commerce logistics tech provider Senvo raises €2.5M (Axios Pro $) - Co-founded and led by Marie Kober, Senvo is a spend visibility and reconciliation platform for shippers. The Berlin-based startup raised €2.5 million ($2.8 million) in funding. efy.vc and Two Ravens led the round, joined by Fund F and angel investors.
Qura raises €2.1M to build LLM-structured legal databases - Co-founded by Elisabet Dahlman Löfgren, Qura is a Stockholm-based legal tech startup. It raised €2.1 million in a Seed funding round led by Cherry Ventures.
Berlin-based Cariqa gets €1 million to launch consumer-facing EV charging marketplace - Co-founded by Tamara Ciullo, Cariqa is an EV charging marketplace. The Berlin, Germany-based startup raised €1 million ($1.1 million) in Pre-Seed funding from Anthemis, Vento Ventures, Hatcher+, Techstars, Golden Egg Check, and Plug and Play.
VC: Spanish VC closes $200M fund with plan to broaden investments worldwide - Founded and led by Clara Campàs, Ph.D., Asabys Partners, a Barcelona, Spain-based life sciences VC firm, raised €180 million for its second fund.
